How on earth did this one get past us?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R mobile already out in the wild

You may remember awhile back, our jaws hit the deck when we caught site of S.T.A.L.K.E.R the mobile game. The jaw dropping was because the impressive 3D visuals seemed like they were from the future. Well that future is now as the game has been released and accompanying it is an intriguing press release from developer, Qplaze.

After thousands of hours passed in the Zone, I, who reached everything I ever wanted - tidy sum of money in banks in three countries - understand, that won't leave this place so easy. I watch at novices - and see myself, I've lost here more friends than I had in all my life, I killed here more people than in Afghanistan, and even nickname Strelok, which I received not long ago, now is more native to me than my own name. At first, I just wanted to survive. Then I thought I can run away from here. But now it is time for me to know - who and why created all this. The Zone has heart, has it's creator - and I'll find him, sooner or later.
Cryptic and somewhat eerie we're sure you'd agree, and on that basis, we'd happily point you in the direction of the brilliant Roadside Picnic by Russian sci-fi writers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky on which the Stalker film and games were based.

As for this mobile version, it boasts a non-linear plot with different endings, locations lifted straight from the PC original, RPG-like character leveling with experience points, side missions, and a generous amount of dialogue.

Frankly, nuclear wasteland or not, we can't wait to get stuck into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R's Zone, so click 'Track It!' to be sure you don't miss our forthcoming review.
