RuneScape reveals roadmap for 2023 that includes new storyline and Nercomancy skill
Just a few days after announcing the slate of events for Old School RuneScape, Jagex is back with another roadmap, albeit for RuneScape this time. it outlines what is going to happen in 2023. Players can expect a new main storyline that focuses on creating a fortress at the edge of the Wilderness, a new skill, and a lot more.
The new main storyline coming to RuneScape next year is called Fort Forinthry. Players must build and defend a fortress, which is the only thing standing between the chaos of The Wilderness and the order in the world as the Zamorakian forces draw closer.
Using the new Construction Training Manuals, players will construct Fort Forinthry as they progress through the story. This questline includes a lot of content as it will feature new challenges, combat, and skilling missions alongside popular NPCs like King Roald and Queen Ellamaria. The battle begins mid-February.
Before this goes live, the new and improved Death System will be there by January 9th. It makes returning to Gielinor much simpler and faster by easing the process required to reclaim items and reducing the payment amount by a staggering 80%. The Raptor’s Rampage at War’s Retreat event will go live at the same time to celebrate the new improvements.
A highly awaited skill will be joining RuneScape too. It has been almost three years since the Archaeology one was introduced. Finally, the MMORPG will receive the Necromancy skill in the next few months. These aren’t even all the new things coming in 2023.
