OrangePixel has revamped its RumbleX mobile games community, which now has more than 55,000 players submitting their high scores.

Besides a new look for the RumbleX website, new features include RumbleX Achievements, which tracks players' best scores and performances, as well as supporting new games that give players special achievement awards – for example if they complete it, or find all the bonus rooms.

It sounds a bit like Xbox Live's achievements system to us, which is no bad thing. Meanwhile, RumbleX Messaging will presumably make it easier for people to chat from within games, or perhaps post messages to forums.

OrangePixel has announced some of its future upgrade plans for RumbleX, too, which include the ability to link mobile games to other platforms, such as PC or console. The company says this would enable you to save your character's skills, and then continue playing with them on PC or console.

RumbleX will also support new content downloads, such as extra levels for games, while enabling players to share their own content with each other.

Finally, the community will also introduce new micropayment features at some point, including subscription gaming and the ability to upgrade to full games from within free demo versions.
