Resident Evil gets new mobile missions

Legendary survival horror series returns to mobile... in 3D!

Resident Evil gets new mobile missions

We weren't super-keen on Capcom's isometric mobile take on Res Evil when it came out last Autumn – Resident Evil Confidential Report File 1 felt like a missed opportunity.

Nevertheless, we're properly excited about Capcom Europe's latest plans for its legendary survival horror franchise. It's just unveiled the all-new Resident Evil: The Missions for mobile.

Two reasons to be cheerful. Firstly, the missions are all rendered in glorious 3D – check out the impressive visuals in the screenshots.

Secondly, it includes more than 50 missions based on the plotline of console game Resident Evil 3 – Nemesis. This means you play as heroes Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira, seeking to discover the secrets behind a series of gruesome zombie attacks (such as why they all moo like cows, presumably).

Capcom is promising more than 20 hours of gameplay to work through, with unlockable weapons, special items and even characters along the way.

It looks great and sounds vast, but can Resident Evil's controls transfer adequately to a mobile handset? Click 'Track It' to get an alert when our review tells you!
