Just in time for, oh, some tournament or other

Real Football 2008 gets Euro edition

A week to go until the start of Euro 2008, and us Englishers are still trying to decide who to support, in the predictable surprising absence of our boys.

Allez les Bleus? Deutschland Uber Alles? Whatever they say in Croatia? It's a tough choice. Although for the ultimate realism, my bet's on Spain to be the most likely to lose on penalties in the quarter finals.

Anyway, while we decide, at least we can play a new version of Gameloft's top mobile footy sim. Real Football 2008: European Tournament is, as the name suggests, an entirely unlicensed game released to tie in with Euro 2008.

There's more than 200 teams to play as (that includes clubs, for those of you looking confused at a European map in your atlas), as well as four stadia to play in.

Expect the same luscious 3D visuals as in Real Football 2008, as well as TV-style presentation, and AI that Gameloft says lets your team-mates and opponents adapt to your playing style.

It looks set to offer a more traditional rival to EA Mobile's quirkier UEFA Euro 2008 title. Choice is a good thing, see? Now, should I support Greece or Holland?
