Crescent Moon delays Ravensword: Legacy's development at least until next year

If you guys were aware of it, Ravensword: Legacy was shaping up to be a beautiful prequel to Ravensword: Shadowlands. However despite its enthusiastic announcement earlier this year it looks like Crescent Moon is putting the game on hold for now.

The first thing that draws people in is the game's beautiful polygonal art-style, slipping in-between realistic and cartoony designs. Its choice of colour is also what makes this game pop, standing out from other RPGs and seriously differentiating it from the first in the series.

After speaking with the developers briefly, and now their post on Ravensword: Legacy's forum page, the total slow-down in communication confirmed everyone's fears. "The game has been on hold for a while - but we may pick it up again next year. The main artist had a full time job and he could only work on it a few hours a week, and then he just didn't have any more time to work on it. I'd have to find a new person to take over the job at this point; we'll see how it goes."

It's a shame, but at least they haven't stamped it with a red 'x' yet. Fingers crossed next year we'll see Ravensword: Legacy back on the cards.
