And it's just part of Vivendi's line-up for the first half of 2008

Good news for fans of US TV drama Prison Break: it's getting an official mobile game, courtesy of Vivendi Games Mobile.

You play hero Michael Scofield, who has to get out of prison by collecting items, plotting with fellow jailbirds, and solving a series of puzzles. The game is due out in the first half of this year.

Vivendi has also announced six more mobile games for the first half of 2008. There's two film licences: The Bourne Conspiracy and The Spiderwick Chronicles, based on the relevant blockbusters.

Meanwhile, Crash Nitro Kart 2 is the sequel to Vivendi's bandicooty mobile racer, with whizzy 3D visuals, eight karts and 16 tracks, as well as the chance to race underwater and in outer space.

Also coming our way is Wordox: Word Snatcher. It's based on a web game called Wordox, which is best described as 'like Scrabble, but you can steal your opponents' letters'. Which, frankly, is how Pocket Gamer plays actual Scrabble, when unwary opponents go for a toilet break.

Vivendi's game will have a dictionary of more than 100,000 words, and in the US, will enable people to go online and challenge each other. Sadly, us Europeans will be restricted to the solo mode.

Pub Darts 180 is, yes, a darts sim set in a typical English pub (i.e. you might need to use your arrows to defend yourself against a drunk 'n' violent lout at short notice. Probably). It'll have solo and hotseat modes, with various characters to play as.

Finally, Celebrity Hangman sadly isn't based on a TV reality show where Jodie Marsh, Jimmy Saville and Toadfish out of Neighbours execute convicted murderers while the viewing public texts in to vote whose technique is best. Although it should be.

Instead, it's a new spin on Hangman, with the twist that you can compile your own lists of pop-culture words, and upload them to Vivendi's server for other players to download. Still, we look forward to trying it out, along with the rest of Vivendi's line-up.
