Niantic is hosting a number of events in Pokémon Go throughout the month and it is set to end with the May Community Day. Between 2:00 and 5:00 pm local time on the 21st, trainers will find Gen VI starter Pokémon, Fennekin more frequently in the wild. Keep your eyes out for its Shiny counterpart as well!

The only goal for three hours during Pokémon Go’s May Community Day is to catch as many Fennekin as possible. What this does is, give a tonne of Candy that is required to evolve the Pokémon into Braxien and finally Delphox. Players managing to do this during or up to five hours after the event will gain a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn.

Blast Burn does 110 damage in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids. In addition to this, Delphox will also be able to learn the Charged Attack Mystical Fire after the event has concluded. It does 60 damage in battles while also lowering the opponent’s attack.

To help with the event, a bunch of bonuses will be active. Trainers will receive 3x Stardust, 2x Candy, and 2x Candy XL for catching Pokémon. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours. The upper limit of special trades will be increased and there’s a special surprise for everyone who takes a snapshot during the Community Day.

Even three hours on hand may not be enough to gather Fennekin Candy. So, to help players out, Niantic is also hosting a Bonus Raid battle between 5:00 and 10:00 pm local time. It’s a four-star battle that features Braxien who can only be fought using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Defeating it will ensure Fennekin appears around the Gym for half an hour.

Finally, don’t forget to check out the Community Day Special Story and the limited Field Research.
