As we make our way through January, we dive deeper into the mystery during the Season of Heritage in Pokémon Go. Two parts of the humongous and strange door have been opened and only the final part is left to unlock. Spark has a hunch on how to get the door to open and Pokémon Go’s newest Power Plant event will explore how.

The Power Plant event will run from January 19th to February 1st. Spark believes that the final mechanism of the door can only be unlocked by an electric-type Pokémon. Trainers must aid him on his quest to find a Pokémon that can generate enough electricity to open the door at this historical cave site. Pokémon that are commonly associated with power plants will be found in abundance, including Magnemite, Voltorb, Electabuzz, Jolteon, Electrode, and more. The event will also debut the Pokémon Helioptile along with its evolution Heliolisk from Pokémon X and Y. Expect to come across hindrances as some nefarious forces seem to know about Spark’s plans as well.

Here’s a sneak peek at another event beginning on January 24th called A Bad Feeling. Five days into the Power Plant event, Spark has made good progress but he can’t help but feel something unexpected is about to happen. What is the one thing that comes to your mind when you think about trouble in the Pokémon world? That’s right. Team Rocket! Team Go Rocket is ready to disrupt all plans by appearing more frequently in balloons and at PokéStops. Using Charged TMs, players can help Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

Additionally, trainers will be able to get their hands on some Pokémon via raids as well. Currently, five-star raids feature Shock Drive Genesect and from January 24th, players will see Regice beginning to show up. Other lower tier raids include Scyther, Druddigon, Dewgong, Pikachu, Beldum, Shinx, and more.

We’re so close to revealing the mysteries behind the hidden door! Help Spark achieve his goal by downloading Pokémon Go for free from the App Store and Google Play.
