Pirate Ship Battles raises its mobile flag

Those salty dogs over at DChoc just sent us a message via e-semaphore about their new mobile pillage and plunder game Pirate Ship Battles sailing the mobile seas this January.

The pimp sheet casts Pirate Ship Battles as ‘Sid Meier’s Pirates! meets Pirates of the Caribbean’, which does indeed conjure up some pretty entertaining notions to thoroughly buckle your swash.

Building on the foundations of its Sea Battles game, Pirate Ship Battles features 14 different characters and a huge map bolstered by a gripping yarn involving pirates, princesses, buried treasure and a bit with a dog.

The adventure/strategy gameplay also has the odd mini-games and quick-play modes to keep the action hot, with a pass-to-play multiplayer thrown in for good measure.

Pirate Ship Battles should be weighing anchor any time now, so get your sea legs on.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
