Pikmin Bloom, Niantic’s new location-based augmented reality game launched only a week ago in Australia and Singapore. This was followed by a release in North and South America a day later, and finally the game released worldwide on November 2nd.

Simply put, Pikmin Bloom is a game made to enrich your daily walk or journeys you make on foot. Joining you on those walks are your little buddies, called Pikmins, who grow and bloom into flowers the more you walk. Everytime you cover a certain distance, you plant cute little seedlings. Soon enough these little guys will grow up and can be sent out on trips to scavenge items for you.

Just like Niantic’s Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom too is set to host monthly Community Day events, the first of which takes place on Saturday, November 13th. The event will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm local time. So, gather your friends, go on a long walk and watch your little Pikmin bloom.

Throughout the event, there will also be bonuses available. Pikmin seedlings inside your planter pack will grow at 1.5x the usual speed, allowing for more Pikmin to grow in less time. Fruits will give double the nectar compared to usual. You can feed this nectar to your Pikmin and change its petal colours. All big flowers that you grow will bloom into beautiful pansies. The final challenge is for players to walk 10,000 steps. For this, you will be rewarded with the first-ever special Community Day Participant badge to proudly flaunt.

This is only the first of many Community Day events that Pikmin Bloom is hosting. Like Pokémon GO, these events will occur on a monthly basis with numerous other events coming too!

Create your own wonderful flower trail and walk with your Pikmin squad by downloading Pikmin Bloom on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
