Paws and Claws: Pet Vet scampering onto mobile

DS cyber-vet game gets its claws trimmed

Paws and Claws: Pet Vet scampering onto mobile

The pet game is a sub-genre almost entirely confined to the DS, with loads of virtual-animals scampering around the Nintendo handheld's catalogue. But Universomo has now adapted THQ's Pet Vet to the mobile platform (one of the company's biggest DS sellers of last year), with a host of cyber-vet diagnoses for you to administer to pets and their owners alike.

You'll begin by opening a small clinic and upgrading its reputation by caring for rabbits, birds, cats and dogs and more – along with administering a healthy dose of bedside comfort to their owners. A variety of mini-games will represent treatments such as giving injections, disinfecting wounds, sewing up cuts, applying ointments and a bunch of other gross, yet cute, animal-based remedies.

Keeping up the animal's moral is also in your remit as a cyber-vet, so playing with the animals in the healing area is also included in the mobile adaptation. So get in line for your virtual veterinary vocation by hitting the 'Track It!' button for more Paws and Claws: Pet Vet as it comes in.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
