The new year brings new content and changes to PUBG Mobile, especially for competitive players as a number of modes are being tweaked. PUBG Mobile Esports is going to expand this year by introducing updates for the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL), which leads into the PMPL Qualifiers and the PUBG Mobile Regional Clash (PMRC) tournaments too.

The updated edition of the PMPL will increase the number of regions that can participate in the competition. More places in Southeast Asia will be able to join in with the addition of PMPL Malaysia instead of PMPL MY/SG/PH and the PMPL SEA Wild Card that includes the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia and Singapore.

Competitive gameplay isn’t just about the best of the best as a number of amateur and semi-pro players exist too. In an effort to create more opportunities for them to try and work on becoming a pro player, loads more contests will be held.

The PMPL will take place in 2024 with the Qualifiers preceding it and players that compete in the PUBG Mobile National Championship, Club Open, and other third-party tournaments will gain access to the PMPL Qualifiers. There will be loads of chances to prove your worth.

Regional battles are also being hyped up with the new changes. Loads of new locations will be added to ensure that the PUBG Mobile Regional Clash 2023 is another hit. This will allow fans to see their favourite players fight against rival regions in matches other than global tournaments.

2023 will also see two major global tournaments. These are the PUBG Mobile World Invitational which will take place in July in Riyadh and the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in November in Turkey. Esports representation continues in sports tournaments such as the Asian and SEA Games.
