Lots to celebrate if you’re a PUBG Mobile fan. One of the most popular battle royales, PUBG Mobile is releasing a major content update alongside its fourth-anniversary celebration. Krafton wishes to celebrate the game’s birthday with a bang as version 1.9 launches bringing new legendary items, an arena mode, new skins, collaborations, and so much more.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of all the festivities and players can expect a tonne of rewards as PUBG Mobile turns four. Kicking things off is a completely redecorated spawn island, featuring coloured balls that can be used to paint some buildings. They can also be used to summon special statues for a surprise. Additionally, players can transform themselves into puppets and fight on the Aerial Battlefield while they wait for the match to start.

Even the maps are receiving a makeover. The birthday spirit is all around and players will find new camps with valuable resources and more in Erangel and Livik. There are lots of special anniversary areas like the Vibrant Plaza and Vibrant Camp featuring numerous items that will take players on a trip down memory lane. Military Camps contain scanning stations that will point to vehicles, firearm depots, and more. A new solo foldable mountain bike will also be spread throughout the map.

PUBG Mobile’s v1.9 also introduces Cycle 2 Season 5. This includes a horde of legendary rewards like Glasses, Set, Parachute, MK14, Mask, and Cover. Some 4th-anniversary missions will also go live allowing players to unlock special titles and exclusive rewards. Furthermore, a new Royale Pass will also launch. Called Cosmic Clash, players have a chance to get their hands on the Wukong Prime Set, Fluorescent Flash Set, and the themed PP-19 Bizon, Kar98K, and QBZ finish. The Royale Pass launches on March 22nd.

To top it all off, a new Arena mode called Royale Arena: Assault is coming soon. A playzone will randomly appear during the match, turning that region into a combat zone. Players will always have to be on their toes, ready to react quickly and band together with teammates to defeat others. It’ll be available next month in Erangel and Livik.

Jump into the battleground and celebrate PUBG Mobile’s fourth birthday by downloading the game for free on the App Store and Google Play.
