PUBG New State begins Halloween celebrations with the new Dead by Daylight collaboration
A couple of weeks ago, Krafton announced that it had partnered with Behaviour Interactive to bring Dead by Daylight to PUBG Battlegrounds and PUBG New State for a spooky collaboration. Yesterday, New State Mobile’s v0.9.40 update launched, featuring new weapon customizations and a new game mode, alongside the much-awaited Halloween collab.
PUBG New State’s YouTube channel just posted a cinematic trailer showcasing the Dead by Daylight crossover. The theme for Halloween 2022 is Fright for Survival, which is pretty indicative of what our last two years have been. The video combines the Halloween spirit with PUBG’s core of surviving in order to win a chicken dinner.
If you look closely, you’ll see the video also showcases some sort of a hide-and-seek mode. The mini-event takes place in Paradiso on the new Akinta map. Alongside this mode, more content will surface from October 26th onwards.
Over the entire month, players can obtain Dead by Daylight-themed cosmetics like helmets, backpacks, frying pans, parachutes and costumes inspired by the game’s infamous killers. These items will be available in the shop and also through completing missions. When everything is finished, a special Dead by Daylight profile effect will also become available.
Even this month’s Survivor Pass has been inspired by Halloween. Volume 12 will feature Edward from the Hunter’s Faction, which can be unlocked by completing the weekly story missions. Premium Pass holders will also get the Master Owl skin, which is hella freaky.
In addition to Spooktober’s celebrations, PUBG New State is also going to celebrate its first anniversary. A massive event will be held throughout November where players will participate in 15 different missions. Rewards will include special anniversary costumes, parachutes and weapon skins alongside an exclusive special lobby background and background music.
And finally, everyone logging in during the first two weeks of November will receive the Kinda Cute Dance emote for free. More anniversary celebration details should be unveiled soon.
