Metal Gear Acid has won itself more than a couple of awards, not least a Pocket Gamer Silver, so we were quite excited when the sequel appeared in Glu’s early 2009 line up earlier today.

We got straight onto the Snake charmers over at Glu, who sent us some info on the sequel and some well tasty 2D and 3D version screenshots (attached).

Snake is double crossed by the US military, and it’s your job to get him out alive. Fortunately, you’ve also recruited a mysterious female agent, Venus, to help you through the ten levels.

Metal Gear Acid 2 will use a turn-based card system for combat, which, as our own Kath Brice pointed out in her review, is what made the original game work so well on the mobile.

As we can see from the screenies, it’s also received a pretty glamorous graphical makeover, and we’re promised some recognisable tunes from the popular Metal Gear soundtrack.

Keep your ear to the ground and your one good eye to the sky for more Metal Gear Acid 2 news as it comes in.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
