There has been a break-in inside the Battlerealm and Aegon, Hyperion, and Howard the Duck have been called upon to investigate. The Masters of Evil – Baron Zemo and Absorbing Man are here and they come bearing only sinister feelings. Let’s look at both of these characters in a little more detail.

Carl “Crusher” Creel was a professional boxer before he was imprisoned, where he was given a special potion by none other than the God of Mischief Loki. The vial contained Asgardian magic and gave Creel the power to absorb the properties of anything he touched. Using his newfound powers, Carl became the Absorbing Man, a villain for hire.

Baron Helmut Zemo, who players will know from MCU’s Civil War is a long-time foe of The Avengers as he bears a deep-rooted hatred for superheroes. His father Heinrich died fighting Captain America and Helmut took it upon himself to exact revenge. This led to him forming the Masters of Evil, which Creel joined. Additionally, he also formed the Thunderbolts who are like Marvel’s version of Suicide Squad.

Absorbing Man joins the squad on January 19th, while Baron Zemo will be available by the 26th. Get your hands on them by downloading Marvel Contest of Champions for free.
