Wild Rift ranks and ranking system explained

The ranking system is probably one of the most important things to focus on in any competitive video game, as it's the perfect option for developers to keep players interested. For gamers, ranks are the perfect opportunity to show your skills and stand out among others.

Players with high ranks gain respect from other gamers - such people are more likely to be invited into a cool clan or team. Read this guide and you will find out everything you need to know about Wild Rift ranks!

PLACEMENT MATCHES IN WILD RIFT

The first thing worth paying special attention to in this guide is Placement Matches. If you played Counter-Strike: GO or some other competitive video games, you probably know how it works. If not, continue reading the guide to find out more about it.

From the start, you are supposed to complete 10 Placements Matches. These matches are used to objectively estimate your level and reward you with the proper rank. However, getting the highest rank from Placement Matches is impossible, even if you win 10 games in a row.

Also, you must remember that even if you lose the round playing the Placement Match, you will not lose ranked marks. And when you win in a Placement Match, you will get 2 Ranked Marks instead of 1. As it is the only opportunity to get more than 1 Ranked Mark in 1 round, you need to appreciate it.

RANKING SYSTEM GUIDE IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: WILD RIFT

The first and foremost thing you have to know about the ranking system is that in this video game, there are 10 ranks: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grand Master, and Challenger. You need to spend a lot of time in the game to reach the Challenger rank - as a result, less than 5% of active players in League of Legends: Wild Rift have this rank.

The fact is that to progress from Iron to Emerald in Wild Rift, you need to earn Ranked Marks. Every level has a certain number of marks you should make to finish it. And the further you go, the more marks you get. Also, the number of marks you need to get might vary slightly between seasons. Don't be surprised if you are sometimes supposed to obtain more marks than usual.

Related:

One win will give you only one Ranked Mark, which is not much. Also, there are no win streaks or other ways to increase the number of obtained Marks - plus, one lose will take one Ranked Mark. However, if you lose a few matches in a row, you might get ranked down. Therefore, whether or not you progress depends only on the win rate and the number of games.

Moreover, on every rank from Iron to Emerald, there are four divisions. You will be moved to the next one only when you complete all divisions inside the rank. And the higher your rank is, the more Ranked Marks you need to get to move between divisions. Check out the table below for all the necessary information about every rank.

RANKING SYSTEM FROM DIAMOND TO CHALLENGER IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: WILD RIFT

You need to earn Victory Points to rank up from Diamond to Challenger in Wild Rift. This new currency is used as a replacement for Ranked Marks. On every rank, there are 4 divisions. And to finish the rank, you need to collect 400 Victory Points. However, obtaining them differs from earning Ranked Marks.

Unlike Ranked Marks, the number of Victory Points you will get for one match depends not on the game's result but on your personal impact. Developers have created a unique system that calculates your battle effectiveness. This system includes 7 different factors. And if you are a good player, you can increase your rank even with a 0% win rate.

However, 1 more thing you need to remember is that when you are on rank Diamond and higher, you will lose your Victory Points while inactive. Therefore, you must regularly play the game if you have such a high rank.

Also, you must remember that ranks in Wild Rift are regularly liable to change at the start of the new season. Of course, if your rank is lower than Gold, there is nothing to worry about. Players with Iron, Bronze, and Silver ranks do not lose their progress.

However, the higher you are, the more Ranked Mark you will lose at the end of the season. Generally, it is a helpful feature that allows developers to refresh the ranking system.

REWARDS FOR RANKS IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: WILD RIFT

As you know, the rank season in Wild Rift lasts 3 months. At the end of every season, you will get rewards depending on your rank.

Moreover, at the end of every week, you will also get some small rewards. They will include some rank points and other resources to help you achieve new ranks.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, the Rank System is one of the most important things that keep League of Legends: Wild Rift alive - plus, it can show you the actual skill of another player. Even though various aspects can be improved in this system, it is pretty interesting to participate in ranks in this mobile game.
