Fortnite's Most Wanted update introduces the Cold Blooded Syndicate, Exotic Weapons, and Heat Levels

Fortnite just launched its v23.40 update which takes players into the criminal underworld of the battle royale. Named Fortnite Most Wanted, the Cold Blooded syndicate has suddenly erupted and taken over the entire Island. Players will once again go on a heist as they look for the new Exotic Weapons.

The new update adds Most Wanted Quests, through which players can increase their Infamy and gather rewards like the Gold Blooded Ace outfit, Cash Stash Back Bling, and The Vault Guardian Pickaxe. These missions are separated into five sets which grant Cold Blooded Medallions. Getting five of those will ultimately unlock the uber-cool Solid Skull Back Bling.

But the coolest part of this update is the Exotic Weapons. They can be found in Cold Blooded Vaults. Sounds easy. But here’s the catch. The vault can only be unlocked using Vault Keycards, which only drop after defeating Cold Blooded Bosses. The strongholds will have their own set of guards, so be prepared.

These Exotics are like weapons on steroids. Check them out below:

• Heisted Breacher Shotgun – Perfect for destroying walls and cover
• Heisted Explosive Assault Rifle – Fires explosive rounds for an added boom
• Heisted Accelerant Shotgun – With increasing damage, the movement speed and fire rate go up
• Heisted Run ‘n Gun SMG – Grants Slap Juice and self-reloads while sprinting
• Heisted Blink Mag SMG – Grants Zero Point Dash ability after reloading

To make things spicier, the update adds a Heat level too. When players open vaults and eliminate opponents, their Heat level goes up, making them trackable through flame icons in the HUD. This makes gameplay more challenging as players will be visible on the mini-map and all the Cold Blooded members will become increasingly hostile.

But the Heat has added bonuses too. Having a higher Heat Level means enemies drop more Bars, movement speed constantly increases, and health and shield can regenerate outside of combat.
