Fortnite has revealed the details about its upcoming FNCS Invitational tournament

Just before Chapter 3: Season 4: Paradise began on Fortnite, Epic Games announced there would be a revamping of the entire tournament scene. With the introduction of the new Placement Cup and Divisional Cup, Fortnite Competitive is entering a new chapter.

And with that, comes the return of the Fortnite Champions Series, as the FNCS Invitational 2022 is just around the corner. This year, the tournament is taking place in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA on November 12th and 13th. Players will fight it out for a chunk of the massive USD $1,000,000 prize pool.

Three FNCS seasons are taking place this year, and the Invitational will follow the same Duos format. Players will find themselves playing 12 matches, six per day. The points system has also been shuffled to allow for better balancing between ranking and eliminations.

A victory royale grants 32 points, which decreases from 29 to 4 points from position 2 to 35. For every elimination, a further two points are awarded. There’s a lot of money to be won as well as the top three ranked players will earn $200,000, $140,000, and $120,000, respectively. The prize pool is extended to the top 50 contestants, with those at the bottom winning $1,000.
