Fortnite v21.30 introduces the Prime Shotgun alongside an upcoming summer event and changes to the super styles

Epic Games recently launched a content update for its popular battle royale Fortnite, which features a new weapon, some changes to this season’s super levels, and the usual bug fixes. Plus, version 21.30 will also feature this year’s summer celebration event that should launch soon. Fortnite recently began the Refer a Friend program once again to bring back users who haven’t played in a while by enticing the referrer and referee with a cool new skin set.

Fortnite’s previous update saw the addition of the Charge SMG. This time, v21.30 is adding another weapon to the ever-expanding pool, the Prime Shotgun. The firearm deals a massive blow with the primary shot of the clip, hence the name I guess. This is followed by three bullets which do not deal as much damage as the first but still hit hard. The Prime Shotgun also has a light display to indicate the number of bullets left, but that’s possible via looking at the ammo counter next to the reticule anyway.

A tonne of games have launched summer updates featuring swimming pools, beaches, ice cream, new costumes to beat the heat and more. While it doesn’t look like the dog days are here on Fortnite, things should change soon as the battle royale’s summer celebration is about to go live in the next few days. More details on the fest should come out soon enough.

Season 3: Chapter 3’s battle pass features super styles like always, which included Platinum Rift, Lapis Slurp, and Auric Blaze Styles for all characters except Darth Vader. With this update, players can select these styles alongside the other combinations of Malik, Evie, Adira, Sabina, and Stormfarer as well. Speaking of skins, the Anime Legends Pack featuring ten items will be launching in October as well so keep an eye out!

Blow away enemies with the Prime Shotgun by downloading Fortnite now via its official website or use XCloud to play.
