Will the ZeeMote turn your mobile phone into a Wii?

Who knows, but FinBlade's Fireworks uses the nunchuk-style peripheral

Product: Fireworks for ZeeMote | Developer: FinBlade | Genre: Casual, Multiplayer
We'd never heard of the ZeeMote until we received a press release from mobile games developer FinBlade this afternoon, but we're sure as hell interested now.

It's a games-focused peripheral for your mobile phone that looks just like Nintendo's Wii nunchuk, in that it's a little gizmo you hold in your hand, with an analogue stick and some buttons on the front. Presumably it connects with your mobile via Bluetooth, but there's more info on maker Zeeto's website.

FinBlade is making a game for it, called Fireworks. It hasn't said much about the gameplay, but suffice to say it involves lots of rockets and explosions, and will include both single- and multiplayer modes.

Actually, the multiplayer side is interesting, as one of the ZeeMote's features is apparently the ability for two players to play at once on one phone – although we're not exactly enthusiastic about the prospect of two people squinting at the same small mobile screen.

Anyway, watch the video below to see Fireworks and the ZeeMote in action:

Gimmick or genius? Post a comment giving us your thoughts! The game's due out next year.

That looks pretty smart actually, obviously you can't play games single handed any more on the train, but if it was cheap enough I could see it catching on.
