Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier's collaboration with Crisis Core brings Zack and Tifa to the battle royale

Last week, Final Fantasy fans enjoyed a crossover between the popular battle royale Final Fantasy VII: The Fist Soldier and Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade, which featured popular characters from the latter like Yuffie and Sonon. Now, the crossovers continue as Ateam Entertainment and Square Enix have brought in two more beloved characters from the franchise.

This time around, we’re dealing with a game that takes place before the events of Final Fantasy VII. Fans must’ve guessed that I’m talking about Crisis Core, a prequel set seven years prior to FF7. That pretty much gives away one of the characters that will be featured too. And yes, it is Zack Fair, the protagonist of the game who now finds himself in the battle royale. Accompanying him is one of the most loved characters from the series – Tifa Lockhart.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will feature 1st Class Zack and Guide Tifa skins for a limited time. Players will find them in Premium Shinra Packs that cost either 300 Shinra Credits or 5 Premium Shinra Pack Tickets. The packs will also feature a banner for Zack and the Behemoth King Gun Skin. These can be obtained until March 31st.

The Crisis Core crossover event will also reward everyone with login bonuses that include up to 12 Premium Shinra Pack Tickets, the head accessory Guide Tifa Hat, the banner Bahamut Fury, a Chocobo egg, and more. Additionally, Crisis Core challenges will allow players to earn more of the same rewards and the Dragon Decimator title, available until March 30th.

To make things more challenging, a stronger variant of the Bahamut, the Bahamut Fury will now frequent normal matches. A red field of energy means a battle has begun and players must team up and defeat the beast instead of fighting one another as damage between players is negated. The increased risk will provide even greater rewards including a tonne of gil and rare weapons.
