It may not have figured in our festive 50 top mobile games, but the British public have voted with their thumbs to make Gameloft's Deal or No Deal the fastest selling mobile game ever.
The undisputed bestseller across all leading mobile operators in the UK (O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, Three and Virgin Mobile), the game not surprisingly topped the official ELSPA / Chart Track Java download chart in November by some margin.
And we're willing to stick our necks out and predict that Noel's box opening antics will secure the Xmas number one slot; even with a week or so to go, we'd be pretty amazed if it didn't dominate the December download charts too.
Gameloft's UK Country Manager Alex Tan was understandably overjoyed and doubtless anticipating a call from his own banker when he remarked, "We're huge fans of the TV franchise and we knew that the game would be very popular to play on mobile phones as it's such fun and incredibly addictive, but the feedback that we have received from all of our mobile phone operators has been absolutely incredible."
