Keen readers may remember our story from last month, about Vivendi Games Mobile running a MySpace competition in the US for people to appear in its Surviving High School '07 game.

Well, the publisher is launching a similar search for a mobile star here in the UK, in partnership with O2. It's for the next Crash Bandicoot game, which is called Crash Of The Titans, and is due out in October.

The compo's only open to O2 customers, and to enter you have to download Crash Bandicoot Mini Games from the O2 Active portal on your phone. If you own it already or don't have a fiver spare, you can alternatively enter by email, mind.

The lucky winner will be immortalised in Crash Of The Titans as a character called, er, DIMBO. Which frankly isn't something we'd brag about. Still, it's a neat way to build anticipation for the game.

Hang on a minute though. What's Crash Of The Titans? It's an action-adventure where Crash will be able to 'jack' enemies during fights, slamming a mask over their heads to take control of them. Vivendi says it'll also have a new fighting system including punches, flying kicks, combo attacks and a special counter-move.
