Call of Duty Mobile is hosting the first season of the Pova Cup in India

A new tournament has been announced for Call of Duty Mobile players from India. The POVA Cup is being presented by the premium smartphone brand Tecno Mobile and organised by Skyesports, which is South Asia’s leading esports tournament company. The competition will be held between January 27th and February 26th on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Call of Duty Mobile India POVA Cup aims to ignite the spirit of competitive gameplay in FPS titles over a period of five weeks. The tournament follows a round-robin format which ensures that each team faces off against the others at least once. It also allows for a higher number of matches to be held rather than dividing the teams into two groups.

Fans will be able to enjoy a total of 28 matches. Once these games are done, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs which will feature a double-elimination bracket that will ultimately determine the two finalists. The grand finale will give viewers a thrilling experience as the two teams will battle it out to be crowned champions of the CoD Mobile Pova Cup Season 1.

The top eight teams from India have received direct invites for this season. They are automatically considered and can fight each other for the ultimate title of champion. The list of invited teams includes:

  • GodLike Esports
  • Revenant Esports
  • Anthem
  • Team XO
  • Nirvana Esports
  • Team Rebirth
  • 5 and a half men
  • Team I2K Elite

Players will be able to view the tournament from the Skyesports YouTube channel, where it will be broadcasted in English and other regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
