Brown Dust 2 shares upcoming features in new developer diary video
A few months ago, Neowiz revealed their upcoming project, a sequel to the hit mobile RPG Brave Nine. And no, it’s not called Brave Nine 2, but in fact, it goes by Brown Dust 2. A short global early access test took place in January after which we haven’t heard much. However, the release of a new video developer diary showcases unveils some of the big stuff coming to Brown Dust 2.
Through the video that has been embedded below, Kyung-Wook Son from GAMFSN and Jong-ho Kim from Neowiz discuss the new systems and features that will be available when Brown Dust 2 launches. The list includes how player feedback led to the creation of a new control system, better cutscenes, and a sneak peek of the game’s illustrations and artwork as well.
At launch, Brown Dust 2 will have significant improvements in terms of visuals, thanks to the improved mid-battle character skill cutscenes. They enhance the overall art quality of the game and the video includes some early concept art that should give a fair idea of what is to come. While it sounds interesting, seeing the same shots repeatedly on one day can be boring. The “view once per day” toggle easily solves that problem.
In addition to more refined graphics, the final product will feature a much better control system. Early access test feedback was dominated by complaints regarding controls. The good news is that these issues have been addressed and characters will now move simply by tapping the desired location. Plus, basic movement speeds received a boost to avoid consistent use of the dash skill.
Besides all this, the developers are also trying to make the game livelier by churning out new beats, immersive music tracks, downloadable design kits for social media, and a lot of new artwork.
