Brawl Stars is an incredibly popular battle royale for mobile devices where players have to fight in teams of three. To make it even more fun, you have over 60 different Brawlers to pick from. Each of them has a unique appearance, stats, abilities, and gadgets. Moreover, you can make your character even stronger if you use the right build. Therefore, in this guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about Spike, including the best builds and his skins.

Spike is one of the Legendary Brawlers. It looks like a big cute cactus. However, playing him is much more difficult than it might seem, so read on to find out everything you need to know about this brawler.

BRAWL STARS SPIKE GUIDE

Spike character on his podcast

As mentioned, there are many different Brawlers in Brawl Stars. All of them require a special approach, and one of the strongest characters is Spike.

He looks like a big cactus, but despite this impressive appearance, he has low health. However, his damage output is the highest in Brawl Stars. Here's what his stats look like at max level:

  • Health - 3600
  • Attack - 840
  • Speed - 720

Therefore, Spike can be called a glass cannon - and you will have to practice a lot to learn how to play him. Now, let's take a look at his abilities:

  • Needle Grenade - This is Spike's normal attack. He throws a cactus-shaped grenade that explodes on impact. The grenade also explodes when it reaches its maximum range. When the Needle Grenade explodes, it releases six needles in all directions. And each needle deals the same damage as a grenade explosion.
  • Stick Around - This is his super. He throws a grenade through obstacles, which explodes and leaves a small area with spikes. And the longer the enemies are in this zone, the more damage they will receive. Moreover, the grenade explosion zone slows down opponents.

BRAWL STARS SPIKE BUILDS

You need to be very careful playing Spike as he is a glass cannon. If the enemies can get to you with their attacks, most likely, you will lose. Therefore, you should try to stay close to cover and not let opponents get close. Luckily, Needle Grenade has one of the longest ranges in the game. As for Spike builds, it's best to use his Gadgets and Star Powers, as they reveal the full potential of this green brawler:

  • Popping Pincushion - This is Spike's first gadget that can save you in a critical situation. By activating it, Spike will begin to release 3 waves of spikes in all directions - 10 for each wave. And each of the spikes deals 520 damage. Therefore, if an enemy or several of them approach you too close, you can destroy them with the help of Popping Pincushion.
  • Life Plant - This is Spike's second gadget, and it can save not only your life but also your allies'. Using it, Spike creates a huge cactus, behind which you can hide from enemy attacks. This Plant has 1750 health and restores 1000 health to all allies in a small radius when destroyed. This gadget will not only allow you to create a cover but also help you survive longer. Also, you don't necessarily need to wait for the cactus to be destroyed to heal, as it will be destroyed as soon as you use the Life Plant again.
  • Fertilize - This is Spike's first Star Power. With it, Spike will be able to restore his health while in the Stick Around area. He will regenerate 800 health every second. However, this effect only applies to you, and other players will not be able to restore their health here.
  • Curveball - This Star Power changes the needles in the Needle Grenade. They will fly in a curved path in a clockwise direction. Moreover, the range of these needles will increase. In other words, Curveball greatly increases the effectiveness of your attack and allows you to destroy almost any opponent before they get close to you.

As you can see, all of Spike's abilities are geared toward balancing out his low health. And if you use them all wisely, you can defeat any opponent. Just remember to stay near obstacles at all times so that you can hide from an attack when needed.
