Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the greatest demonstration of intelligence. That's what me grandmother used to say, anyway (and I believe her). So we're intrigued to hear about Russian developer Dynamic Pixels' new mobile third-person shooter, Mission R.I.P.

We're told this high-octane shooter updates the classic run'n'gun game with some hot graphics, impressive weapons tech and a healthy supply of good humour and biting sarcasm. It also throws a few RPG elements into the mixture, and promises some fairly entertaining story elements to beef up the juice.

The graphics certainly live up to the hype, and feature some exceptionally large characters, so anyone looking for a new blaster would be well advised to swing by Mission R.I.P.'s official site. And the best news? It's free!

Free Friday sarcasm, blood 'n' bullets. What more could we ask for?

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
