The iPhone and iPad versions of Minecraft - Pocket Edition have just been treated to a "minor" update that includes a few bits of new content and a whole load of different bug fixes.

Content-wise, the update introduces the ability to wield a bow and some arrows, which will probably come in pretty handy against the game's new skeletons and spiders mobs.

20-odd bugs have been squished by the dev team in this update, too, so the larger inventory selection bar, the furnace crashes, and other common issues should be things of the past.

The Android version of Minecraft - Pocket Edition is yet to be be updated, but we presume it'll only be a matter of time before it is.

You can grab Minecraft - Pocket Edition from the App Store as a Universal app for £4.99 / $6.99.
