505 thinks up a MinDStorm

The explosion of games designed to make us smarter continues apace. The latest is 505 Game's MinDStorm, which as the peculiar capitalisation suggests is for DS.

Ten types of stylus, touchscreen and microphone challenges (including geography-based map challenges, spot-the-difference, mazes and the manipulation of blocks) will be on offer to help improve your reasoning, intuition, observational and analysis skills.

Of course, all activity will be tracked so you can be kept informed of your increasing mental powers, and there's a cartoon in-game guru to encourage your efforts as well.

The game also has controls so you'll be able restrict the types of challenges you'll play depending on where you are. For example, if you're on the bus, you'll be able to switch off microphone-based games or those that involve precise use of the stylus.

MinDStorm is due to be released on May 4th.
