Mile High Pinball returns for new N-Gage platform

Less tables, but lots of power-ups in store

Mile High Pinball returns for new N-Gage platform

Super-keen fans of the original N-Gages (both of you) may remember Mile High Pinball, which was an innovative spin on the pinball genre, hampered mainly by coming out towards the end of the ill-fated format's lifespan.

Well, it's going to be returning for the launch of Nokia's all-new N-Gage platform. The number of tables has been cut from 80 to 45, but it's looking pretty spiffing nonetheless.

The idea is still to work your way through the tables which are stacked on top of each other in a pinball tower, though. There'll be all manner of power-ups to help you blast through, including multi-balls, 10x multipliers, and super slo-mos.

Along the way, you'll find 25 aliens and bosses to beat, as well as head-to-head challenges via the N-Gage Arena. Oh, and a "new user interface to manage your pinballs".

We think that's how Y-fronts were marketed when they first came out, too.

Anyway, like all the currently-revealed N-Gage games, Mile High Pinball's release date is still TBC, but we reckon it'll be out by Christmas, judging from the playable version we saw at Go Play last week.
