Midnight Darts hits the mobile bullseye

More pub-themed fun from Gameloft

Midnight darts is never a good idea. The pub's closing, so you have to try and get your throws in while a burly landlord is shoving you towards the doors. And you're probably drunk, so as likely to hit the pub dog in the eye as you are to get a treble-20. Which won't improve the landlord's mood.

Happily, such life-endangering mishaps have no place in Midnight Darts, which is the latest in Gameloft's casual sports series of mobile games, following pool, poker, casino and bowling incarnations.

It promises eight different darts rules to play under, including 301, 501, Clock and Cricket. We're hoping for Killer too, although we've yet to play the game, so can't be sure.

There's also a Career mode that sees you throwing arrows in six cities, and taking in 50 different challenges along the way. You're matched against eight new opponents in every level, each with their own techniques, and there's a bonus four-player pass-the-handset multiplayer mode.

We're big fans of all the previous Midnight games, and so are looking forward to seeing if Midnight Darts can live up to the series' promise. Click 'Track It!' to find out for sure, the moment our review goes live.
