Tapulous releases Metallica Revenge on the iPhone
Heavy metal lands on the App Store
Turn up those amps to 11 because developer Tapulous, responsible for the insanely popular Tap Tap Revenge series, has just announced the release of its latest title: Metallica Revenge.
Based on the Tap Tap Revenge 3 platform, the game features ten of Metallica’s biggest hits and is the latest in a long line of previous artist-focused spin-offs that include, Coldplay, Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Lady Ga Ga and the Dave Matthews Band
Gameplay is similar to other titles in the series but includes all-new Hard and Extreme game modes. The new modes are played in landscape format, which, because of the increased screen width, requires the player to tap across up to five rails as opposed to the standard three.
Metallica Revenge was designed with die-hard fans in mind and accordingly features a built-in Metallica news feed, challenge updates, a public battle message board and Facebook Connect integration where budding lead guitarists can compare high-scores.
