New Metal Gear Solid Mobile screens creep into view

It's somewhat fitting that new screenshots of Metal Gear Solid Mobile unearthed two days ago over on Jeuxfrance.com have somehow managed to sneak past out radar.

The game which is out in Japan (and will be released in the US later this month) is set between the first two Metal Gear Solid console games and judging from these fresh screens, graphically it is nigh on par with the first PlayStation iteration, if not close to what we've seen on the PSP.

Whether the controls will be up to scratch is still a matter of some debate but given that this is developed by Ideaworks3D in conjunction with Kojima Productions, there is every reason to assume that the quality bar will be high across all aspects of the title. (Indeed, the game is nominated for an IMGA award at the Mobile World Congress next week.)

Until we know for sure, all we can do is ogle these latest shots which show off Snake in some dashing red garb – not exactly inconspicuous but who are we to argue with the master of stealth? (Besides, it's showing off the game's ability to integrate your phone's camera function, which is used to photograph the colour of an object around you and alter Snake's clothing accordingly, in real-time.)
