A long way from the daily grind

Biodroid has announced that it will be working with the MegaRamp crew for its next extreme sporting title, which sees both top skaters and BMX riders go head-to-head on the slightly insane layout designed by Danny Way (he’s the guy who jumped the Great Wall of China on a skateboard, if you were wondering).

The game is looking to recreate the unique elements of MegaRamp that have made it so successful in the skating world over the past few years, including the two wind-socks (the ramp’s so long there can actually be different wind speeds on both jumps) and the oxymoron Mini-MegaRamp, which is still stupidly scary to watch.

This MegaRamp-based title is scheduled for release in early 2012, so there’s no gameplay screenshots yet. You can, however, take a gander at the gallery to see what the 'Mini'-version of the ramp looked like at the recent Freestyle event in Zurich.

It just so happens that I was there covering the event that weekend, so expect to see a more detailed article on the making of the game later in the week.
