Capcom 'Hall of Fame' features top gamer-created stages available to download

Any smart developer knows one of the most obvious ways to ensure longevity in a game is to include a level construction mode as part of the package. And any smart player has long realised there are people out there capable of creating stages which are easily on a par with those produced by the professionals.

However, finding the best examples isn't always straightforward.

Well, Capcom can help. The publisher has conveniently decided to recognise the talent of its fans and has selected what it considers to be the best eight Mega Man Powered Up levels designed by players using the game's in-built Construction mode.

PSP owners can find these 'Hall of Fame' stages by connecting directly to the official site from the game's menu screen and downloading them onto Memory Stick. Then it's simply a case of enjoying the new challenges fellow gamers have created in what is effectively a whole new lease of life for this game.

At the time of writing, Capcom is unable to confirm whether the Hall of Fame is to be updated, with fresh stages making the list on a regular basis. Let's hope it is – after all, what better incentive to try your hand at designing a level yourself?
