Take on the Robot Masters in the SNES classic

Mega Man III released for BlackBerry

Capcom's classic armoured manga boy, Mega Man, wings his way onto the BlackBerry platform in full-on SNES style.

Mega Man seems to have retained his retro good looks in this latest version, and Capcom Interactive promises some new gameplay techniques alongside the classic 2D platforming, shooting, fighter antics. Foremost among them is Mega Man's new 'slide' function, allowing him to duck behind objects and scenery in his quest to stop Dr. Wily's out-of-control robot after it's hijacked by the eight Robot Masters.

Fans of the long-running franchise will be please to hear Mega Man's best friend, the robotic dog Rush, is along for the ride in what appears to be a pixel perfect port of the SNES sensation. There's no demo available, unfortunately, so it's full price or nothing if you're interested in getting in on this hot retro action.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
