Plants vs Zombies, Doodle Jump, Ovi Maps Racing up for Meffys award
|

Every year, the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) gives out awards to players in the mobile industry, and while you're probably not interested in the vast majority of the categories (Ad Campaign, Business Intelligence, and Cross Platform Technology are typical examples) there's one category that's close to every gentleman's heart: Games.

Up for the award this year are The Last City (Iricom), Bloons, (Jump Games), Ovi Maps Racing (Nokia), Plants vs Zombies (PopCap), and Doodle Jump.

The Meffys press release attributes Doodle Jump to GameHouse, but it was originally developed by Lima Sky – GameHouse published the Android and mobile versions, so it's presumably one of those that's up for an award rather than the original iPhone version.

These finalists were chosen after three days of judging by a panel comprising various analysts, journalists, and other assorted members of the mobile industry. They include the FT, the Telegraph, Reuters, and of course Pocket Gamer.

The winners will be announced on the 21st June at an awards dinner in the Grand Connaught Rooms in London's Covent Gardens.
