E3 2008: Test your machine-making skills with Mechanic Master on DS

Midway has unveiled some details on a new puzzle game it has in the works, entitled Mechanic Master.

The game is a problem-solving affair in which you use the DS stylus as a weapon to rid Earth of alien invaders. You must become the Master of Mechanics by building crazy contraptions to free humans. Keep the mechanics in motion and you defeat the aliens. There are over 100 levels to clear - each of which will test your problem-solving and multi-tasking skills to the max.

Various gadgets give you the abilities to utilise changes of gravity, laser pistols and mirrors. Get fed up with completing the levels on offer though and you can use the game's Level Editor to create your own, then share them with friends over wi-fi.

Mechanic Master is due for release in October 2008.
