Mass Effect Galaxy promises rewards on the console

Reviews of the iPhone Mass Effect spin-off game Mass Effect Galaxy haven't been all that kind, with a general disapproval of its unwelcome gameplay tangent taking it away from the RPG excellence of the original console title.

But AppGamer has persevered, and pushed on to the end of Mass Effect Galaxy to find a surprise in store. Apparently, the following message pops up as some small reward for torturing your iPhone for such an extended amount of time:

"Your reward for completing the game is already waiting for you in Mass Effect 2."

To get the message, you apparently need to log into your EA account upon completion to register your blind determination, which is presumably how the forthcoming console game will know you finished it.

There's no clue as to what this reward is yet, and we'll probably have to wait for the console release to find out. It's a shame EA tested out this cross-platform incentive on a game like Mass Effect Galaxy, but it's an interesting concept that we hope catches on.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
