BioWare’s ambitious sci-fi action game, Mass Effect Galaxy, is out now on the App Store courtesy of EA. The title is a follow-up to the successful console and PC role playing game, Mass Effect, though it also serves as a prequel to the upcoming Mass Effect 2.

You take control of one Jacob Taylor, a soldier who will play some part in the forthcoming console sequel. The game will be far more biased towards combat than its bigger cousins, although a streamlined conversational system has been implemented.

It’s been promised that Mass Effect fans will pick up some interesting insights into some of the characters from the series, so such ones should find it well worth the £2.99 asking price. For the rest of you, we’ll have a review soon.
