iPhone Mass Effect: Jacob’s Story screenshots revealed

To serve as a prequel for Mass Effect 2

iPhone Mass Effect: Jacob’s Story screenshots revealed

We picked up on rumours of a Mass Effect spin off coming to the iPhone just the other day, and a new report from Joystiq brings those rumours one step closer to confirmation.

Screenshots have been revealed, along with more details on the game’s events. Apparently, this animation-styled top-down shooter will serve as a prequel to promote the forthcoming console release of Mass Effect 2.

It’ll indroduce characters such as bionic super-soldier Jacob Taylor, and will feature around two hours of gameplay. What’s more exciting, however, is the possibility EA and BioWare have alluded to regarding turning the iPhone Mass Effect game into a series - depending on the success of Jacob’s Story.

It’s slated for a $2.99 price point (so, what? About £1.79 in real money?) though no official news has yet been released. More as we get it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
