EA test marketing Mass Effect for iPhone

Online survey gathers opinions about Jacob’s Story

Big name game adaptations aren’t exactly prevalent on the iPhone, but as the platform continues to gather momentum, it seems likely that we’ll start to see more of them.

Kotaku has picked up on an interesting development in this area of iPhone gaming in the shape of an online survey that appears to be test marketing an adaptation of the hit console RPG Mass Effect, called Mass Effect: Jacob’s Story.

The survey pegs the game as an animated graphic novel, blending storytelling with gripping top-down shooter combat. It revolves around bionic super-soldier Jacob Taylor who’s on a quest to save the galaxy.

There’s no guarantee that this game is either in development or will actually appear (the survey could actually be testing reactions to altered console conversions, or the concept of an animated graphic novel on the iPhone), but it’s still a pretty exciting idea for fans of the console and PC game.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
