Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet hitting the 3DS later this year

Griptonite Games is hard at work on a version of Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet for Nintendo's 3DS.

Like its predecessor - simply Super Hero Squad - the game will feature deformed cartoon versions of your favourite Marvel characters, in a top-down action-adventure setting.

You'll be able to play as the shield-wielding Captain America, the fierce Wolverine, or the web-slinging Spider-Man, as well as the Hulk, Invisible Woman, and Iron Man.

Each character will possess unique powers and abilities requiring you to switch between them to complete several tasks, in a similar nature to Traveller's Tales's series of Lego games.

Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet was first launched last year on all major consoles, including the DS.

Keep your eyes peeled for its release on 3DS later this year, complete with a new stage exclusive to Nintendo's next-gen handheld.
