Minis March Again onto DSiWare on Friday

We really liked the original release of DS game Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

So even though it's a bit cheeky of Nintendo to reissue it again via the DSiWare download-only platform, we're happy to see this otherwise overlooked game getting another opportunity to shine.

Indeed, this version comes with some enhanced features.

You can create your own puzzle levels for the mini Marios to make their way through, and share them online.

You do this via the Construction Zone, and share them through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or local adhoc wi-fi.

In the original game, you could only share levels with your friends, so hopefully use of the NWC will increase the quality of the available levels as more people get to share.

The basics of the game remain the same of course. You have to guide the clockwork mini Marios through various puzzling and platform levels to the exit, and eventually defeat Donkey Kong.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis will be available on the European DSi Shop on August 21, 2009.
