Latest shots of EA's American football sim preparing for new season
We may be basking in the summer break, but the head coaches at EA long ago switched their attention to the next sporting season, running the rule over new feature lists for the latest updates of their FIFA, Tiger Woods, NBA Live and NHL series.
First back into training are the grid-iron jocks of Madden NFL 07, which is set to hit the small screens in August. And it looks like the game really will hit the ground running, thanks to innovative new rushing controls and a variety of new jukes and cut-backs that will enable players to take more control of the running game than ever before. (Provided, of course, they have some idea what a 'juke' is.)
There's also the opportunity to take a player all the way through the ranks from Rookie to Hall of Famer in NFL Superstar mode, and naturally the visuals have been pepped up too, as you can see from the pics above right.
