Ah, those wonderful men in their flying machines (shooting each other with missiles so they plummet to a fiery death).

Vivendi clearly appreciates the appeal of flight combat to a generation reared on Top Gun – the publisher's new game, MACH: Air Combat, looks set to be an exciting mix of dogfights and sky-high racing.

It's lost a few full-stops from its name since it came out on the PSP as M.A.C.H. but the core gameplay remains the same: race at speeds of 600mph while pulling off stunts that'd make Tom Cruise gasp, and fire all manner of explosive projectiles at other racers. Oh, and there's speed boosts too.

The new mobile version will feature four game modes, weaponry including machine guns, missiles and flares, and ten opponents to pit your flyboy wits against. The game will also feature six different planes to fly, and will be on an operator portal near you imminently.
