Diner Dash without the production values

Diner Dash is great, as is its sequel, so it's not surprising to see developers trying to copy the formula.

Lunch Break is the latest attempt, from Xing Mobile. Its press release even claims its restaurant-based action is "just like in the popular online PC games" to hammer the point home.

So, you have to prepare tables, seat customers quickly without putting them too close to loud children or noisy businessmen, and serve their food.

However, the screenshots make the game look distinctly underwhelming next to Diner Dash 2 so at this stage it's hard to see any features that'll let Lunch Break outdo its inspiration. But we live in hope, clearly.
