Back in the days when Pocket Gamer was a mere stripling of a website, one of the first handheld games to demonstrate the potential of whole market was Q Entertainment's Lumines on PSP.

Still one of the best games on PSP, it's now come to iPhone and iPod touch in the buzzing form of Lumines Touch Fusion.

The characteristic gameplay remains in place as you tap the falling blocks to rotate them and flick your finger to drop them. You have to create 2 x 2 (or larger) blocks of the same colour to build up your combos and points totals.

There are three modes: the single skin Single Lap; Endless mode, which varies the music and the skins; and Time Attack, in which you have to score the maximum within the time limit.

As well as points, your performance is measured as you're awarded medals for each mode.

The game will also be supported with the release of new Skin Packs - which we assume will include new music. The price of these hasn't been announced but we'd expect them to be 99c.

Lumines Touch Fusion is out now, priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79. Hit the Buy It! button to go direct to the App Store.

Or you can try out the Lite version here [Link].
